About the Job: We don’t just clean rooms at Outbound Stowe; we create adventures. As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, you’ll help make sure our guests have amazing experiences. You’ll be more than just a cleaner. Your commitment to making people feel welcome, making them feel relaxed, and giving them great service will turn everyday stays into unforgettable moments.
Most Important Duties:
- Make sure the guest rooms are clean and well-organized so they meet Outbound Hotels’ high standards for comfort and cleaning.
- Work with your teammates to make sure rooms are turned over on time and guests are happy.
- Health and safety rules must be followed, such as the right way to use cleaning products and how to keep things clean.
- Service should always be friendly and helpful.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO + TEAM
Answers to the Housekeeping Manager, Executive Housekeeper, or Director of Housekeeping
Helps the housekeeping staff
ADDITIONAL DUTY
- The person must be able to walk, kneel, stoop, and stand the whole shift while cleaning and serving guest rooms. They must also be able to do medium-level work that requires lifting, carrying, pushing, or otherwise moving things up to 50 pounds of force sometimes and 20 pounds of force often or constantly.
- Take trash, dirty linens, terry cloths, and stripped beds out of guest rooms and put them in the right places in the right way.
- Check under beds and chairs for trash, clean the bedroom and closet, and make the beds the right way.
- Make sure the floors in guest rooms, halls, and porches are clean by vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping them.
- Follow the directions to dust furniture, lamps, beds, pictures, plants, the chimney, and the floor of the chimney. Clean the kitchen counters, cabinets, drawers, and freezers.
- Follow the directions to clean the bathroom cabinets, floors, and shower/tub.
- Tell the Housekeeping Supervisor about any lost or found items, damage, or upkeep issues.
- Get your section’s keys, supplies, and any urgent requests from the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Respond to guests, bosses, and coworkers at all times in a friendly, helpful, and polite way. All problems and comments from guests should be sent to management.
Required Skills :
- Adapt your work load to the number of guests at the hotel.
- Daily and hourly, you need to be able to multitask, organise, and set priorities.
- Get along with others when you’re on a team.
- Clear thinking and staying cool are important when you’re in a hurry.
- Pay close attention to details, work quickly, and do your job well.
- Effectively follow the directions.
- Do your work with little guidance.
- Keep information about guests and the hotel secret.
WHAT I KNOW:
Prior Experience: At least one year of experience working in a restaurant or similar job is needed.
IT Skills: It’s best if you have a lot of experience with computer software like Microsoft Office and Outlook, as well as web tracking tools.
Education: You must have a high school diploma or GED, but a college degree is recommended.
Expertise: Show that you know how to follow all of the property’s safety and security methods so that you can keep the place safe for both workers and guests.
Report any strange events or requests to the supervisor.
You must read and follow all of the rules and laws in the Associate Handbook.
Must be customer service-focused and have great sales and customer service skills
Must be able to read, write, and understand English well enough to talk to guests, managers, and coworkers.
Must be active and friendly
Must have great people skills and be able to organise things well.
Important: Must be able to follow directions quickly and correctly.
Must be able to work well with others and with little direction.
Must be able to do more than one thing at once in a busy workplace. Must be able to understand and work with basic financial information and do simple math.
Must be able to type 45 words per minute and know how to use a computer to enter data and get information.
You must know how to use Microsoft Office and Opera well; Opera is recommended.
Must be able to keep information secret and use judgement.
WHAT ELSE YOU CAN EXPECT:
- Follow the rules, processes, and policies for payments that are in the Springboard Hospitality Associate Handbook.
- Show that you know how to follow all of the company’s safety and security processes.
- Travel is needed: As needed to get to know the hotel, do content creation shoots, and meet with coworkers.
- Work Hours Needed: You must mostly work during Springboard Hospitality’s business hours, which are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (PST). However, you should know that the hotel business is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so you may have to work some weekends or holidays.
