JOB OVERVIEW

Arrange, approve, handle, and carry out all room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations, as well as guest check-ins and check-outs. Make sure payment is safe; check and change bills. Turn on and store room keys. Take care of all guest requests and texts that come in. If something goes wrong, you can print out emergency lists of all your guests. Show and explain to guests what the features of their room are; give them directions and information about the property’s services, amenities, hours of operation, and interesting places to visit in the area. Check on any requests or issues that were left over from the previous day and make sure they are taken care of. Run and look over daily logs and results. Fill out the computer system’s assigned cashier and closing reports. Take in and record orders for wake-up calls, then send them to the right area. Count the bank at the start and end of the shift and keep it safe. Take care of all kinds of payments, including adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction coupons, and other charges; give out change. Let Loss Prevention or Security know if a guest reports theft.

Follow all company rules and instructions; tell your boss about any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions at work; make sure your uniform and personal look are clean and professional; keep secret any private information; and protect the company’s assets. As required by the company, greet and acknowledge all guests; anticipate and meet the service needs of guests; help people with disabilities; and thank guests sincerely. When you talk to other people, use clear, professional language, and when you answer the phone, be polite. Build and keep good working relationships with other people; help the team reach its goals. Meet quality assurance requirements and norms. You may have to stand, sit, or walk for a long time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place items that weigh 10 pounds or less on your own. Do other appropriate tasks as asked by your supervisors.
