What the job is
The Cheeca Lodge and Spa is in Islamorada, Florida Keys.

Join our team at the beautiful Cheeca Lodge and Spa, which is set in the beautiful Florida Keys town of Islamorada. We need enthusiastic part-time hosts and hostesses to make our guests feel welcome and at home in our well-known restaurant. We want you to join our excellent team if you love giving great customer service and making dining moments that people will remember.

What the job entails:

Helping Guests

  • Make sure that all of the guests who come into the restaurant feel valued and at ease by greeting them kindly.
  • Always keep your look clean and professional to meet the high standards of our resort.
  • A good environment can be created by being friendly, happy, and polite.
  • When a person asks a question, answer it with correct information and a good mood to make sure they are happy.
  • Use your personal knowledge and good sales skills to tell people about the resort’s services and perks.
  • Greet guests and deal with their questions, problems, and complaints in a good way, with the help of a boss if needed.

Getting ready:

  • Set up the host stand, look over the guest ticket book, and make the most of the eating area to give your guests an unforgettable experience.
  • Keep track of the restaurant’s station plan and cover count, and know how much work each server can handle to meet service standards.
  • Take care of bookings for guests and give them information about the restaurant or any other service or feature at the hotel.
  • Check and keep daily menus to make sure they are of good quality, are in good shape, and look good. Learn everything about the menu items and daily offers.
  • Help with special jobs like changing the menu and making signs when needed.
  • Make sure the table is set up correctly and make any small changes that are needed.
  • Check each table for lost things and take away right away anything that doesn’t meet your standards for cleanliness.

Skills and Background:

  • Excellent people skills and the ability to talk to people.
  • A dedication to keeping the mood friendly and open.
  • Being able to answer questions and deal with problems from guests in a professional and timely manner.
  • You must be allowed to work in the United States and show proof within three days of starting.
  • You must already be able to work in the US; we’re not able to support people.
  • No tattoos on your hands, neck, or face.
  • No tattoos on the face
