JOB OVERVIEW

Follow the rules and practices for accounting when handling all payment methods. Follow the rules for property control audits and the right way to handle cash (for example, blind drops). Get the assigned bank and make sure that the hired funds are correct. Get the change needed for the expected amount of business and keep the bank safe at all times. At the end of the shift, count the money in the bank, fill out the designated cashier reports, fix any problems, drop off receipts, and lock the bank. Move the bank to and from its assigned position. Assemble and arrange the cashier’s desk with the right tools, forms, and reference materials, and make sure the desk is always clean. Do your opening chores, which include putting away all the goods and tools you’ll need, including the bank, and making sure everything works.

Follow all safety and security rules and policies set by the company, and let your boss know about any crashes, injuries, or dangerous situations at work. Make sure that your clothing and personal look are clean and professional. Keep secret any private information and keep the company’s assets safe. To follow business policy, you should greet and recognize all guests, anticipate and meet their service needs, and thank them sincerely. When you talk to other people, use clear, professional language, and when you answer the phone, be polite. Build and keep good working relationships with other people, and help your team reach its goals. Make sure that high standards and goals are met. Using computers and/or point-of-sale systems, enter and find information related to work. You may have to stand, sit, or walk for a long time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place items that weigh 10 pounds or less on your own. Do other appropriate tasks as asked by your supervisors.

  • Education: High school graduate or G.E.D. similar.
  • Work Experience: None.
  • No experience supervising others.
  • No license or certification is needed.
